The year is finally coming to an end, and what better way to celebrate than by kicking off the festive season with a bang? Take a deep breath, the party is about to begin; say hello to an entire month of yacht-cations, festive menus, gift ideas, and more!

They say that the way to a man’s heart through his stomach. Well, we say that it’s the surefire way to anyone’s heart – especially during this festive season! Be it dining in a restaurant or ordering takeaway to celebrate in the comfort of one’s home, there’s always a reason to feast and make merry this December.

And with so many available dining options in the market, how does one choose? Here’s a round-up of our favourite spots, with some exclusive members’ privileges thrown in to sweeten the deal:


1. The Spot

Everything about The Spot exudes elegance: complete with polished black panelling and hushed cosy lighting, the restaurant offers an eclectic menu that blends European cuisine with Southeast Asian ingredients.

‘Tis the season to be jolly – indulge in the 8-course Eve Dinner specially curated by Executive Chef Lee Boon Seng. Only available on 24th and 31st December 2020, the spread is to the tune of an elegant snack trio, Lime Coconut Kingfish, Glazed Duck Breast and Foie Gras, and more; as well as a choice of Deep-Fried Grouper or Pine Smoked Wagyu Petit Tender.

For 25th December 2020 and 1st January 2021, a Festive Brunch sharing menu is also available. Spread the love with small plates containing Pacific Oyster, Foie Gras de Canard, and more.

2. WAKANUI

Members’ benefit: Exclusive discounts and complimentary drinks*

What if it was possible to be in two places at the time? This December, defy convention by transporting yourself to New Zealand and Japan at WAKANUI, a New Zealand-based meat company that was developed in Tokyo. Intrigued? That’s just the tip of the iceberg!

Start by dipping your toes in all things Japan; WAKANUI Grill Dining’s Festive Menu by Executive Chef Ryohei Kenyoshi kicks off with dishes like Chargrilled Japanese Cod with Seared SHIRAKO, or Broiled Kagoshima A5 Wagyu with Uni and Caviar. Next, skip on over to New Zealand with the signature half-rack WAKANUI Spring Lamb with Lily Root Puree and Madeira Wine Spiked Red Currant Sauce.

For an added festive spin, finish off with a rich Valrhona ganache logcake, complete with notes of rum, rosemary, and black currant. It’s fusion at its best! Otherwise, bring the party back home with the Festive Takeaway for 4 to 5 pax. Spoil yourselves and your guests with a Roasted Whole Chicken, WAKANUI Spring Lamb Full Rack, Christmas Pudding and more.

3. Garibaldi

Their Christmas menu is a real show-stopper; available from 21st to 27th December 2020, choose from either a 5- or 6-course menu, both inclusive of dessert. From 25th to 27th December 2020, ring in the festivities with Garibaldi’s Christmas Brunch! Be spoilt for choice with an extensive menu, the highlights of which include the Mascarpone Cheese Tortellini with Truffle Butter Sauce and Toasted Hazelnuts; Traditional Roasted Turkey with Foie Gras and Pistachio Stuffing; as well as a Feast of Christmas Pastries.

That’s not all: Garibaldi’s New Year’s Eve menu is also available from 28th December 2020 to 3rd January 2021, where you can choose from 5- or 6-course meals inclusive of dessert.

4. BAM!

True to its namesake, BAM!’s dishes are all bursting with flavour – with every bite packing a solid punch. Being Singapore’s first gastro establishment to pay tribute to ‘Modern Shudo’, the restaurant places emphasis on the contemporary way of sake enjoyment. The people over at BAM! take their sake very seriously; be wowed by a floor-to-ceiling sake cellar containing over 80 outstanding sake labels!

Watch as your meal comes to life – with a flourish, might we add! – at the open kitchen, where theatre and food combine to offer an experience like no other. Revolving around seasonal ingredients, BAM!’s omakase dining is an absolute treat for the senses.

The Festive Christmas Menu is served omakase-style as well, comprising items such as Sakura Ebi Fritter with Anchovy Tapenade and All-iloli; Ama Ebi with Uni, Ponzu Jelly, and Green Beans; as well as Wagyu Beef with Jerusalem Artichoke Puree, Red Wine Sauce, and Girolles Mushroom.

5. The Orchard Café

Members’ benefit: Special discounts off the Unlimited Plated Live Theatre Festive Menu

Bring your appetite and enjoy the live theatre at The Orchard Cafe, which offers an interplay of regional and international flavours by their cast of chefs. The cherry on the cake is the Heritage Tandoori Turkey with Aromatic Spices – where skewered chunks are first cooked in the tandoor, then served with mango chutney and naan.

Highlights from the buffet include the Classic Roast Turkey with Giblet Sauce, Christmas Turkey Meat Roll, Chicken Galantine with Red Currant Sauce, as well as the Grain-smoked Gammon Ham and House-cured Salmon. Answer the tempting call for desserts with a Rum-tastic Chestnut Log Cake, made with chestnuts that are best harvested this season; or the Strawberry Yuzu Log Cake, a blend of two matching Japanese fruits that comes in a nice, festive shade of red.

6. Jiang-Nan Chun

One of our newest partners, Jiang-Nan Chun, is a Michelin-starred authentic Cantonese restaurant. Conveniently located at Four Seasons Hotel Singapore, just off Orchard Road, Jiang-Nan Chun offers elevated comfort food that’s bound to satisfy any cravings.

The name of this restaurant didn’t come about by accident; inspired by the scenic region of Jiang Nan in China, ‘Chun’ means ‘spring’, dangling a promise of renewal, rebirth, and pleasure. The restaurant also embodies the concept of ‘Xiang Le Zhu Yi’, which is the principle of enjoyment and happiness. This naturally translates to their food, where every dish is thoughtfully curated and exquisitely presented!
