Sky Premium x Mahota: An Organic Kimchi Making Event

The long-awaited collaboration with Mahota Commune is held on the evening of 26th October 2017 at Mahota Pantry. The atmosphere was cosy and the air was filled with love – love for Mahota’s canapes. 

One of the ‘all-rounded’ spaces in the central district, Mahota Commune is a collection of different lifestyle sections from food, shopping and to your wellbeing – Mahota Clinic. Conveniently located behind Lavender MRT, there are no reasons you can’t visit saying it is out of the way.

Starting the event with a sharing session by Mr. Edwin Low on the topic of The Art of Living Well. The session was intriguing as our guests learned the benefits and importance of having organic and fermented food in their daily meals. He also touched upon the mindset and philosophy of healthy eating and the must-note tips for a better lifestyle.

Moving forward to the most anticipated session of the night, the organic kimchi making session demonstrated by Chef Benson Tong. Chef Benson shared the steps on how to prepare the ingredients before fermentation, everything from planning to execution. With tons of wonderful cooking demonstrations under his belt, the hands-on session went smoothly and everyone were on cloud nine with the final product.

As we all already know, nothing is comparable to a good meal with friends and/or your family and Mahota Commune may just be the dining destination that is filled with the most praise worthy delicacies that will warm your heart and definitely your tummies.

Our guests are also given one set of dry ingredients to bring home to replicate the organic kimichi they’ve learnt in this session. All ingredients can be purchased from Mahota Commune.
